My scientific activities are highly interdisciplinary, ranging from nanotechnology to microbiology, nutrition, toxicology and food safety. My current research interests deal with tree main topics: pharmacologic residues detection in animal-derived foods; animal wellbeing assessment throughout the production process, from farming to slaughtering; mutual biological interactions understanding between nutraceuticals (probiotics, prebiotics), drugs and living systems.
